Do I have to register to purchase online?
You must create an account to purchase an online ticket. You can register by entering an email address and a password.
What payment options are available?
Instant transfer, credit card (American Express, Diners Club, Visa, Master Card and Eurocard) and PayPal
Are discounts available?
Discounts are available for students, senior citizens, visitors with disabilities, and Vienna City Card holders. Please visit www.mqw.at/tickets to find out more about applicable reductions. Please note that you must present a valid ID with your ticket on entry.
How are tickets validated?
The single-use barcode on the ticket is electronically validated at the venue. The 'principle of first entry' applies on entry, i.e., the ticket that was validated first will be accepted. Subsequent tickets presented with the same identification are then already valid.
How long does a ticket remain valid?
The ticket is valid for one year from date of purchase and entitles the holder to one entry to the selected institution. It is not necessary to specify the date or time of your visit.
What happens if the museum is closed or a tour cannot take place due to Covid-19?
The validity of tickets will be extended by the number of days of closure imposed by the federal government due to Covid-19.
Can I return my ticket?
All ticket are fix-purchased and cannot be returned.
Do I need to print tickets purchased online?
Online tickets can be presented using your smartphone or can be printed out; both options are possible. Senior citizens, children under 19, students, and visitors with disabilities must show a valid ID along with their ticket on entry.
I've lost my confirmation email. What can I do?
