MQ Main Courtyard

25 Years of MQ, a Courtyard Full of Art: Performances, concerts, readings, and art installations celebrate the MuseumsQuartier as a stage, a gathering place, and a cultural space.

The MuseumsQuartier is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an evening filled with art, music, literature, and performances. In collaboration with the Leopold Museum, Kunsthalle Wien, mumok, Tanzquartier Wien, and O-Töne, the Hof Kunst Fest will bring back defining artistic voices and special moments from the MQ’s history—complemented by new works created specifically for this occasion.

Throughout the main courtyard, you can look forward to concerts, readings, site-specific performances, artistic interventions, and musical surprises. Performers include Doris Uhlich, UCHE YARA, Matt McCreary & Charles Auguste, Tutti Dilemma, Dimitré Dinev & Band, Christoph Meier, and Peter Sandbichler.

The Leopold Museum, the Kunsthalle Wien, mumok, and MQ Freiraum will open their doors this evening with free admission and invite visitors to rediscover art throughout the entire complex. Freie Kiosk Kultur will provide drinks and snacks at its pop-up in the MQ main courtyard.
