How to find us

Whether by subway, bus, bicycle, or car, the MuseumsQuartier Wien is centrally located in the 7th district and easily accessible, within walking distance of Burgring, Mariahilfer Straße, and the inner city.

By public transportation

By bicycle

The MuseumsQuartier Wien is well connected to Vienna's network of bike paths and can be easily reached by bicycle. Bicycle parking spaces are available both on the premises and at several entrances around the MQ.

By car

As there are no parking spaces available at the MuseumsQuartier itself, we recommend the nearby Contipark underground car park "Am MuseumsQuartier" and the surrounding short-stay parking zones.

There are four accessible parking spaces available for people with disabilities on the MuseumQuartier grounds. Access is via the main entrance at the Volkstheater.

By coach

The drop-off and pick-up points for coaches are just a few minutes' walk from the MuseumsQuartier.

Accessible arrival

The MuseumsQuartier Wien is wheelchair accessible. There are four disabled parking spaces directly on the premises, barrier-free entrances, and wheelchair rental at MQ Point.

Access for suppliers

Suppliers can access the MuseumsQuartier via the main entrance at the Volkstheater (corner of Burggasse/Museumsplatz in the direction of Getreidemarkt).

Entry (max. height 12' 3", max. width 9' 3") is only permitted after prior registration.

The MuseumsQuartier is easily accessible all day long. For a quieter visit, we recommend weekday mornings or early evenings.

Can I also visit the MuseumsQuartier at night or late in the evening?

Yes. The area is freely accessible around the clock and can also be easily reached by public transportation, especially overnight lines.
