A quarter of a century of the MuseumsQuartier calls for a celebration: at the Hof Kunst Fest, the MQ is throwing another big party and bringing back highlights from 25 years of MQ history.

Free Kiosk Culture

4:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.

The K67 kiosk, run by Freie Kiosk Kultur, will be the place to hang out in the main courtyard—offering drinks, snacks, and a relaxed atmosphere until 21:00.

Activation of the bell “Untitled (C-sharp)” – Christoph Meier

Christoph Meier’s bell, “Untitled (C-sharp),” rings 25 minutes past the hour. This collective ritual invites us to pause for a moment and step away from the rhythm of everyday life.

MQ Bar by Peter Sandbichler

Peter Sandbichler’s legendary MQ Bar returns as an installation reimagined specifically for this evening, evoking the MuseumQuartier’s topping-out ceremony in 1999.

The Leopold Museum is open from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with free admission. In addition, there will be two free guided tours on Vienna’s Ringstrasse and urban development around 1900.

Free Admission: Vision and Resistance

The anniversary exhibition “Vision and Resistance” at MQ Freiraum tells the eventful story of the MuseumQuartier’s origins and is open free of charge until 20:00.

For their first performance in Vienna, Matt McCreary and Charles Auguste are developing a site-specific performance that blends architecture, movement, and urban space.

Rhythm in Motion: The mdw drumline gets the Hof Kunst Fest moving with powerful percussion sounds.

Tutti Dilemma
