Christian Heller (also active under the name "plomlompom") was born on December 20th, 1984, in the GDR part of Berlin.  He studied Film Studies, Philosophy, and Computer Science at the Freie Universität Berlin.

From 2004 to 2010 he's been a writer for various online magazines (such as carta.info and critic.de) [1], and maintained several blogs [2] – mostly focusing on futurism, film criticism, internet politics, and early meme culture.  He's also worked through these topics as a lecturer on conferences such as the Chaos Communication Congress, Transmediale, re:publica, and paraflows [3].  He did futurological seminars for the DGB Bildungswerk from 2009 to 2013, and from 2011 to 2012 co-hosted the podcast "Warum nicht" [4] on "the net, culture, and net culture".

From 2007 to 2009 he was co-producer of the short-lived Berlin coworking space network Hallenprojekt.de[5].

Heller became a vocal supporter of post-privacy strategies around 2008, culminating in the book "Post-Privacy. Prima leben ohne Privatsphäre" (C.H. Beck, 2011) [6] and a personal wiki [7] publically documenting in detail his daily money flows and everyday activities from 2010 to 2016.  In 2012 he was fellow at the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften of the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, collaborating with writer Kathrin Passig on the research project "The digital Self" [8], focusing on techniques of identity construction in the digital sphere.

Heller's investigations into internet subcultures include a study of body horror/modification fetish imageboards in his text "GUROchan: imageboard perversion and the reinvention of bodies" for the 2011 Arse Elektronika anthology, and the book "Internet-Meme" (O'Reilly Deutschland, 2013) [9], which he co-wrote with imageboard expert "erlehmann".  In 2018, at the Berlin puppet theatre Schaubude, he mentored the internet meme culture research residency "Pepe, der Frosch" of the German media art/theatre groups virtuellestheater and Spieleberatung [10].

Since 2014 he's also been working as a software developer, freelancing for clients such as the open computing company MNT Research [11] (which develops the open-hardware DIY notebook Reform), and the teledisko GmbH [12] (that upcycles phone booths into micro dance halls).  He made two video games of the "roguelike" genre in 2015 and 2016: the ecological simulation "Please the Island God" [13], and the bodily functions/fluids adventure "The Crawling Eater" [14].

From 2016 on Heller has drifted off into hippie festivals, and not much has been heard from him since.

Guilt-tripping card game. Boost guilt culture! Embrace your personal moral responsibility for the miserable state of the world, and learn how to make others feel terrible about theirs. Find your perfect guilt match/partner, and let your guilts cancel each other out, or potentiate one another.  Based on a small-scale prototype/sketch developed with Judith Schossböck. The aim is to produce playable (printed, or printable/downloadable) card game sets, and a generator software for new cards, to adapt their content to various topics such as global warming, covid19, dietary politics, etc. If the unpredictable Coronavirus situation allows for it, the cards may also be used for a social gaming performance. Might also produce an essay on guilt politics to go with it.
