What happens when a DIY film project in the 1990s leads to the realisation that Austria is ruled by lizard people? With humour, intelligence and a playful touch, Michael Gülzow challenges our perceptions, whilst examining conspiracy theories and their links to the rising far right.

frame[o]ut is an open-air film festival that takes place every Friday and Saturday from July 10 through August 29 in Courtyard 8 of the MuseumsQuartier Vienna. Under this year’s theme, “Frictions,“ it presents innovative contemporary cinema.
