Guided tour in ASL: Lives and works in Vienna
Lottery Day in the MQ
A guided tour of the exhibition ‘Living and Working in Vienna’ with sign language interpreter Eva Böhm and an art educator.
On Lottery Day on Friday 11 September 2026, visitors can take part in a guided tour at ÖGS of the exhibition ‘Living and Working in Vienna’.
The most comprehensive overview of Vienna’s contemporary art scene organised by the Kunsthalle Wien in over a decade presents over 130 works of art by 56 artists living and working in Vienna. The exhibition spans both venues in the Museumsquartier and on Karlsplatz, showcasing painting, sculpture, installation, drawing, photography, performance, sound, film and video. First organised by the Kunsthalle Wien in 2000, the fifth edition of ‘Lives and Works in Vienna’ builds on a long-standing tradition that celebrates Vienna’s vibrant artistic discourse and diverse artistic community. Curated by Daniel Baumann, Michelle Cotton and Monika Georgieva, the exhibition focuses on new and recent works: 38 artists have created new works for the exhibition, and numerous pieces are on display in Vienna for the first time.Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
Places on the guided tour are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To take part, please collect a free ticket from the Kunsthalle Wien in advance upon presentation of a product from the Austrian Lotteries.
