Free admission

As part of the Hof Kunst Fest, the exhibition ‘Vision and Resistance’ is on display at MQ Freiraum, with free admission. The exhibition tells the story of how the former stables were transformed into one of Europe’s largest arts and culture complexes.

What is now taken for granted as one of Europe’s largest arts and culture districts was a subject of controversy for decades. The exhibition “Vision and Resistance” explores the ideas, conflicts and visions that have shaped the MuseumsQuartier – and highlights how the MQ has transformed Vienna.

As part of the Hof Kunst Fest, the MQ Freiraum is keeping the exhibition open until 8.00 pm, with free admission. Visitors can therefore not only enjoy the programme in the main courtyard, but also delve into the history of the MuseumsQuartier’s creation – with original models, historical documents and spectacular designs.
