How did the former imperial stables become one of Europe’s largest arts and culture centres?

The exhibition “Vision and Resistance” looks back at the eventful history of the MuseumQuartier Wien – at architectural designs, political decisions, public debates and the conflicts that continue to shape the site to this day.

During the guided tour, visitors gain insights into the exhibition’s key themes and exhibits and learn more about a project that has brought about lasting change in Vienna: from the Second Republic’s largest cultural construction project to one of Europe’s most significant arts and culture hubs, the exhibition explores the visions, resistance and social debates that continue to shape the MQ to this day.
