Free admission

On the last Sunday of every month, we invite you to our current exhibition ‘Lebt und arbeitet in Wien’ at both the MuseumsQuartier and Karlsplatz locations without charge, thanks to our partnership with Dorotheum.

These Free Sundays underscore Kunsthalle Wien’s commitment to making contemporary art accessible to all, by eliminating the barriers to participation in its activities. By offering free access to its exhibitions Kunsthalle Wien aims to extend and promote Vienna’s cultural offer to new audiences, including those who feel discouraged by the costs of admission. Your free admission is made possible by Dorotheum, the leading auction house in Central Europe.

Free Guided Tours

Every Free Sunday, the Kunsthalle Wien offers a guided tour of the exhibition at 16:00. The tour starts at the MuseumsQuartier and ends at Karlsplatz, as the exhibition “Lives and Works in Vienna” spans both venues.
