Circle Talks – The Community Round Table
Gathering as a Practice of Care
Circle Talks is an open discussion and exchange format within the framework of the kültüř gemma!-fellowship by Viviane Lê Tanzmeister at Kunsthalle Wien.
Based on street dance and hip-hop cultures, in which gathering in a circle (cypher) is a central social and artistic practice, Circle Talks invites participants to experience gathering as a form of care, exchange and collective perception. Together we explore the premises of the Kunsthalle Wien and ask: Where do we come together? What spaces do we need? What does wellbeing mean in an institutional context?
Circle Talks is deliberately designed to be low-threshold: we sit together in a circle, take time to arrive, listen and exchange ideas. It’s not about performance, but about collective questioning and being together. Circle Talks will be rounded off with an open dance jam.
