At the Az W: The Bruno Kreisky Prize
The Bruno-Kreisky-Prize has been awarded to the book 'Soziales Wohnen in Wien. Ein transdisziplinärer Dialog', which contains a report on the current housing development debate, lending visibility to the Viennese model of social housing as complex integrated urban development.
Social housing in Vienna has numerous facets and is currently facing major challenges. This book is a scientific and practise-orientated anthology that engages with the complex system of social housing development in Vienna. The topics covered range from costs and quality, via neighbourhood and social relationships, to the demands of climate change and sustainability.
The prize has been awarded since 2022 in cooperation with the Karl-Renner Institut and the Verein für Wohnbauförderung.
