Guided tour in dialogue

You can see a neighborhood of townhouses, with green meadows in between. A little further back, the buildings are taller. In the background, you can see a mountainous landscape.

Architecture from Austria in Africa and Asia 1955–1989

Which colonial influences still continue to impact on social and cultural structures to this day? Marlene Wagner divides her time between Vienna and Johannesburg in South Africa, and can provide us with insights on these contrasting contexts. This guided tour with a dialogue is intended as a space for critical reflection. Together, we discuss selected works in the exhibition and interpret them from a postcolonial perspective.

With Marlene Wagner, architect, founder of buildCollective for architecture and development, Vienna and Johannesburg.
