From the year 2000, he has been developing an intense plastic, cultural and social activity in Europe, The United States and Argentina. Many institutions with a great deal of prestige, such as the Universitá di Bolonia, Boston University and the Consorzio Interuniversitario Italiano per l'Argentina (CUIA) have endorsed his work.

During a trip to Greece in search for his maternal roots, in 2000, he starts painting with mixed technique on wood, fabric and discarded objects.

Among the symbols he tirelessly works with, both to small scale and to be placed in public places, the Bee stands out as a sign of cooperation, work, honey and desire.

He starts with a series of abstractions that refer to universe and planetary systems. During this period he also carries out research into the owl as a symbol of attentive look for ancient people, giving way to a prolific work from that perspective.

Between 2001 and 2004 he builds a path of giant sculptures with the aim of linking symbolically three Argentine provinces, and having in mind the idea of federating Argentine art. The highlights of this project are the works La Abeja (The Bee), built with pieces of wreckage from the 1995 explosion of the Military Factory at Río Tercero (Córdoba Province), and the Monumento al Almirante Irizar (Monument to Admiral Irizar), among twenty pieces of work located in public places.

In 2002 he builds an avenue of great size sculptures at the Museo de los Parques de Palermo. These sculptures were made by transforming unused industrial materials, and Marmo worked with economically deprived people with the aim of contributing to their social insertion.

In 2003, the documentary Cartoneros (people who make a living by picking up paper and cardboard from the dumps) is filmed as part of a project encouraged by the chair of Literature at Boston University. Directed by writer Ernesto Livon Grosman, the documentary deals with his work and its links with Argentine social reality, and displays a theory that shows how it is possible to transform crisis into poetry.

From 2003, in the framework of the projects Argentina Esporta and Focal Point of Contemporary Arts at the Universitá di Bolonia 's office in Buenos Aires , his work becomes part of a major project under the global title "Metáfora de Desarrollo con inclusión social a través del arte" ("A metaphor for Development with social inclusion through art"). Thus, many exhibitions are encouraged at Italian, European and Latin American Museums, as well as the project "Arte en las fábricas" ("Art at factories"), several workshops, seminars and meetings with people who play an active role in the productive activity; many itinerant exhibitions are displayed at Federculture and the Instituto Italo-latinoamericano (IILA) in Rome; giant sculptures are placed in different public places: 50 pieces of work of great dimension, such as El Monumento al Trabajo ( Monument to Work ) at the slum area Fuerte Apache; El Obrero Metalúrgico (The Metal Worker), at 9 de Julio Avenue; the fountain Sirena del Río de la Plata (River Plate Mermaid), at Buenos Aires's Recova; the series Los Oficios (The trades), at Buenos Aires's suburbs, moveable giant murals; the work Aterrizaje en el Abasto ( Landing on Abasto Neighborhood ), settled at the entrance of Ciudad Cultural Konex in Buenos Aires City; an avenue of sculptures at the Museo de los Parques de Palermo, built with the help of homeless kids and inhabitants of the Villa 31, a shantytown in downtown Buenos Aires; a park of sculptures at the public school Escuela EGB Nº 9, in the Islands of Tigre District, Buenos Aires, among other works created by the artist.

In 2004, fostered by Universitá di Bolonia, they film the documentary Óxido y Descarte (Rust and Discard) on his work, with the idea of showing a metaphor for industrial development. This documentary was first shown at an Exhibition of Argentine Cinema that took place in Milano during May, 2005, sponsored by the Argentine Consulate in Milano.

During 2005 and 2006 he carries out intense social work at schools as well as at shelters for the hungry, where he mounts art laboratories.

In October 2006 he opens a Park of Sculptures in Rome with five sculptures, with the support of Universitá di Bolonia, the Roman Comune and the Circolo degli Artisti.

Projektinfo

Making sculpture with industrial waste can give a chance to different social actors to share and be interested in the same cultural good. Using industrial waste can also transmit the idea of art as a chance of transforming the reality.
Then, the sculptures would be emplaced in public places. The place can be selected taking into account that it must be representative for that community.
