On Life with Animals and Singing and Making Music
On the 10th anniversary of my grandmother Olga's death and the tenth jubilee of the MuseumsQuartier, Olga's voice sounds out in Andres Bosshard's "Klanghimmel" (Sound Sky).
The stories of her youth that my grandmother told are set about 90 years ago (the former Imperial Stables were converted into the Messepalast trade fair centre) in the Tyrolean Wipptal, in the Brenner region and in Innsbruck. She talks about everyday experiences, about living with animals and the joy of making music together and singing, but also about the ordeal of learning the guitar by ear.
