Every Wednesday from 18:30, live concerts take place in the main courtyard as part of “Winter im MQ”. On 16 December, RUHMER, aka David Ruhmer from Vienna, will be taking to the stage. The musician blends indie soul with a retro sound and captivates audiences with his energetic stage presence.

His musical journey began behind the drums, before he took the plunge and stepped forward to become the frontman following the break-up of his last band. In 2019, he wrote his first original songs in a small cottage in Calais, France – a raw, unpolished energy that continues to shape his sound to this day.

RUHMER now operates largely on a DIY basis, from songwriting to production and from booking to visual design. His album “The Masterplan” (2025) and his latest EP “Rolling on a Runway” (2026) cement his place in the local indie scene.

Airplay on FM4, egoFM, Radio Eins Berlin and DLF Kultur; number 3 in the FM4 charts with “Kill Me Now”; performance at the 2025 Austrian Film Awards. Live, RUHMER and his six-piece band bring big emotions to intimate venues, with charming laconic charm and always with all their heart.
