Mwita Mataro has already made his mark on the Austrian cultural scene as the lead singer of the indie rock band At Pavillon and as co-director and lead actor of the highly acclaimed documentary “Austroschwarz” (one of the most successful Austrian feature films of 2025, with over 10,000 theatergoers) as the lead actor and co-director.

Now he's really taking off with his solo project. His first singles – one in German and one in dialect – have already made it into the playlists of major Austrian radio stations.

With Stefan Redelsteiner (formerly of Wanda, Nino Aus Wien, and currently with Voodoo Jürgens, among others) serving as Mwita’s manager, nothing seems to stand in the way of a great career. Mwita is currently working on his debut album, “Austrodrama,” which is set to be released in the fall of 2026.

Together with his band, he now wants to introduce the new songs to a wider audience. The first live concerts were already a huge success – thanks in part to Mwita’s fantastic band, his talents as an entertainer, and his many years of stage experience.
