MQ Forecourt

As part of the ImPulsTanz Festival, Public Moves offers free outdoor dance and movement classes every day on the MQ forecourt (main courtyard) of the MuseumsQuartier. These classes, which are also suitable for beginners, are led by various international instructors who teach styles ranging from hip-hop to contemporary jazz.

As part of Public Moves, Salim’s unique style is a fusion of ballet, modern, and jazz, through which he explores a wide range of flowing and organic—yet often angular—movements. He takes the dancers on a journey that participants have described as “meditation through dance.” After a distinctive warm-up, the focus shifts to learning Salim’s own choreographies.
