As part of the ImPulsTanz Festival, Public Moves offers free outdoor dance and movement classes every day on the MQ forecourt (main courtyard) of the MuseumsQuartier. These classes, which are also suitable for beginners, are led by various international instructors who teach styles ranging from hip-hop to contemporary jazz.
At Public Moves, you can experience Authentic Jazz Dance as a fundamental African-American dance form that underpins many freestyle-based styles. It originated through interaction with live wind instruments, piano and percussion, and in this class we bring that energy to life. Using the basic elements of this dance, we explore the spirit of community that lies at the heart of this style during a lively jam session.
