MQ Forecourt

As part of the ImPulsTanz Festival, Public Moves offers free outdoor dance and movement classes every day on the MQ forecourt (main courtyard) of the MuseumsQuartier. These classes, which are also suitable for beginners, are led by various international instructors who teach styles ranging from hip-hop to contemporary jazz.

Public Moves invites you into a moving chorus where everything is exaggerated and nothing is fixed. Opera classics take over the space and flow through your body like sonic tension. You follow impulses, imitate, interrupt and reinvent. Your inner dramatic figures begin to whirl, extravagant worlds appear and disappear again. Tragedy and comedy collide. There is no right or wrong – just be ready to embrace the chaos of a collective body: chaotic, funny, exaggerated, intense and surprisingly precise! Divas welcome!

Special

All Public Moves participants receive free admission to the MQ anniversary exhibition “Vision and Resistance” at MQ Freiraum through August 7. Simply show your Public Moves registration at the ticket counter at MQ Freiraum.
MQ Freiraum opening hours: Tue. – Sun., 10:00 to 18:00.
