As part of the ImPulsTanz Festival, Public Moves offers free outdoor dance and movement classes every day on the MQ forecourt (main courtyard) of the MuseumsQuartier. These classes, which are also suitable for beginners, are led by various international instructors who teach styles ranging from hip-hop to contemporary jazz.

Public Moves presents, through Marco de Ana, a contemporary perspective on flamenco as an expression of social protest and cultural counter-movements, which have been particularly evident in lyrics and songs since the 1970s. The dancer and choreographer builds on this tradition and transforms it into short, intense dance sequences set to mantric ‘verdial’ rhythms. The result is a collage of lively saucepan percussion, vocal chants and powerful, contemporary flamenco dance moves.
