MQ Forecourt

As part of the ImPulsTanz Festival, Public Moves offers free outdoor dance and movement classes every day on the MQ forecourt (main courtyard) of the MuseumsQuartier. These classes, which are also suitable for beginners, are led by various international instructors who teach styles ranging from hip-hop to contemporary jazz.

At Public Moves, “Talking Hands“ invites participants to discover Waacking through expression, musicality, and freedom of movement. Inspired by club culture and freestyle dance, the class focuses on the dialogue between music, emotions, and the body—particularly through the hands and arms. In an open and welcoming atmosphere, participants explore grooves, dynamic arm movements, poses, and improvisation. The class is open to everyone, with or without dance experience, and fosters self-confidence, playfulness, and personal expression through movement. Together, we move, connect, and let our hands do the talking.
