MQ Forecourt

As part of the ImPulsTanz Festival, Public Moves offers free outdoor dance and movement classes every day on the MQ forecourt (main courtyard) of the MuseumsQuartier. These classes, which are also suitable for beginners, are led by various international instructors who teach styles ranging from hip-hop to contemporary jazz.

Public Moves highlights Vogue Fem as a powerful form of expression, shaped by the ballroom culture of 1980s Harlem. The program centers on the five elements—Hands Performance, Catwalk, Duckwalk, Spins & Dips, and Floor Performance—which are developed step by step and interwoven with one another. The interplay of technique, musicality, and attitude creates space for individual expression and presence.
