MQ Forecourt

As part of the ImPulsTanz Festival, Public Moves offers free outdoor dance and movement classes every day on the MQ forecourt (main courtyard) of the MuseumsQuartier. These classes, which are also suitable for beginners, are led by various international instructors who teach styles ranging from hip-hop to contemporary jazz.

Public Moves dives deep into the dance style of popping in this class. We go through various basics and different approaches to muscle control – with a special focus on stopping movements. The class is designed as “Popping 101”, exploring the essence of this dance style, which originated in California, through foundations, grooves and techniques, while building a solid understanding.
