MQ Summer Stage

Tamara Flores is a versatile singer, flutist, and dancer from Vienna with Mexican roots, who powerfully unites both cultures in her music. On 12 August, the artist will be giving a concert on the MQ Summer Stage.

Her uniqueness lies in the fusion of two musical and linguistic worlds – a contrast she has embraced as a strength and woven into her artistic expression. With her captivating presence and fearless artistry, she creates a sound that is as boundary breaking as it is deeply authentic.

In her music, Tamara Flores stands for feminine strength, female empowerment, and self-determination, while also writing songs about nature, connection, and inner transformation. With her second single “CHINGONA,” she reached number 1 on the FM4 charts, was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards, and her music video was broadcast on MTV. Filmed in her mother’s Mexican hometown, the video was created as a community project with the support of the entire village.

Tamara deliberately avoids being confined to a single genre: her music is influenced by her classical training on the flute as well as Latin American elements, which are reflected in both rhythm and language. She is currently working on her first album.
