MQ Pride Night: Opening Night
Free admission
For the fourth year in a row, MQ Pride Night returns to the open-air stage at the MuseumsQuartier Wien. As part of the MQ Summer Stage program, what began as a one-day event has evolved into a recurring fixture on Vienna’s summer cultural calendar, bringing artists and audiences together to experience queer joy, pride, and resistance.
In 2026, the series will be expanded beyond June and continue throughout the summer months with three additional events in July, August, and September. Each evening will have its own thematic focus while remaining rooted in performance, music, and collective presence. The series kicks off on June 12 at 19:00 with the annual Pride edition, which sets the tone for the season with a program featuring music, performance, and club culture.
La Terre’ takes the stage with Central American influences and operatic force, turning voice and presence into an act of resistance. “BUNX – dripping in jelly of the black Atlantic” is a dance performance by Andrea Vezga Acevedo, Iris Omari Ansong, mirabella paidamwoyo dziruni, and Yours Izundu, moving between club and ceremonial atmospheres while reclaiming twerk as an embodied, political, and diasporic practice.
Drag House of Clits brings high-impact drag to the stage with CHILLIJUICE, Discount Liquor, and Freddie Venus, delivering bold looks, sharp humor, and unapologetic presence. Denice Bourbon joins with her unmistakable blend of cabaret, music, and biting political edge.
The night spills onto the dance floor with a DJ set by মm., whose sets weave together experimental club sounds, diasporic rhythms, and storytelling.
The program is curated and hosted by Daniel Hill, a Vienna-based artist, photographer and curator.
