The City and the Animals

For a few weeks, she achieved worldwide fame: Veronika the cow, the first known cow capable of using tools — and in several different ways at that. In doing so, she raised a big question: Have we grossly underestimated the animals around us? How intelligent are the creatures that surround us in the city, from pigeons to rats? And what should we city dwellers learn from this?
