To mark Austrian Children’s Hospice and Palliative Care Day, the MQ Fürstenhof will be transformed into a lively gathering place for children, families, and hospice and palliative care organizations.

Several stations equipped with beer tables and umbrellas invite visitors to linger and join in the fun from 09:00 to 17:00 Planned events include the ceremonial handover of the Angel Torch to HOSPIZ ÖSTERREICH, a performance by the 2026 Kinder-Lebens-Lauf starter child, and a gathering of numerous children’s hospice and palliative care organizations such as Kinderhospiz Netz, FRIDOLINA, MOMO Children’s Palliative Care Center, MOKI Vienna, Lichtblickhof, Regenbogental, and other organizations.

As part of a series of children’s activity stations, participating organizations will offer creative and playful activities such as crafts, painting, magic shows, and face painting. The program will also feature a small stage with readings by Lena Raubaum and the Wiener Praterkasperl, giant soap bubbles, clowns, and other attractions. In the morning, two therapy animals from the Lichtblickhof—a pony and a dog—will also be on site, accompanied by the Lichtblickhof’s animal caretakers.
