Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of house dance—born in the club scene of the 1980s in Chicago and New York, this style thrives on rhythm and freedom!

Dancer and choreographer Farah Deen teaches the basic steps of house dance, has a wide range of groove exercises up her sleeve, and explores freestyle concepts—always with a focus on your individual expressiveness.

You’ll learn various movement exercises, gain confidence in and with your body, and discover the balance between collective energy and personal freedom. A safe environment awaits you; you’ll dance at your own pace and in your own style, just like “cyphering”—free dancing within a circle that offers you space for self-expression, without any pressure or judgment. And plenty of laughter and good vibes await you!

Art Snacks: In keeping with the 1980s theme, before each class session we’ll introduce you to a few works of art from the exhibition “Never Final! The Museum in Transition“. There, our collection activities from the 1980s will give you a glimpse into the social, cultural, and political life of that era.
