Multivoiced Democracy
All of Austria becomes a stage
On October 19, 2026, at 18:00, we want to create something special together: We’ll kick off Democracy Week 2026 with a nationwide wave of sound in support of democracy.
Across Austria, more than 40 choirs and music groups will perform in public spaces, transforming them into a large stage for community. At the MuseumsQuartier Wien, the Chorforum Wien will take part in the performance in the courtyard in front of Room D.
This initiative brings together a wide variety of activities across the country that make democracy visible, audible, and tangible. To kick off the event, all participating choirs and music groups will send a powerful message of solidarity, participation, and democratic values.
Democracy Week is a project launched by BÜNDNIS 2025 that aims to bring people in Austria together through a variety of events, engaging discussions, creative activities, and participatory formats. The goal is to highlight the achievements of democracy and to help safeguard and renew our democracy. This year, the event will take place from October 19 to 26.
