To mark the opening of the exhibition “Vortices,” the MuseumsQuartier invites you to the Sternenpassage. Artist Sabine Jelinek will be in attendance.

With “Vortices,” Sabine Jelinek presents an installation in which moving image sequences flow through the circular light displays of the Sternenpassage and engage in a dialogue with the Baroque architecture of the barrel vault.

The exhibition is based on the “Vortices” series, which has been in development since 2017 and in which photographic self-portraits are transformed through precise interventions in moving, fragile visual forms. Between currents, wave motion, and magnetic fields, visual spaces emerge that allow identity to be experienced as something fluid and process-oriented.
