The greatest love story of all time – retold. By Peter Plate and Ulf Leo Sommer. With music by Rosenstolz. Featuring special guest Tom Neuwirth, aka Conchita Wurst, as the Angel of Death.

Forbidden passion, breathtaking music, and a love stronger than hate, background, and convention. Based on Shakespeare’s world-famous tragedy, the musical presents the story in a powerful, modern adaptation – featuring numerous songs from the repertoire of Rosenstolz, including the emotional title track “Liebe ist alles” (Love Is Everything). Moving, surprising, liberating

This multi-award-winning production captivates audiences with its high-energy stage show. Peter Plate, Ulf Leo Sommer, and Joshua Lange deliver a moving soundtrack - a musical interplay of rousing pop anthems and gentle ballads that touches the heart deeply. Set against an elaborate backdrop of stage, costume, and lighting design, the production creates a comprehensive visual and emotional experience. Furthermore, the character of the Nurse – with her subtle humor and plenty of charm – brings a surprising lightness to the tragic love story. “Romeo and Juliet – Love Is Everything” is a musical full of contrasts: between drama, humor, and goosebumps.

Tom Neuwirth is looking forward to his guest performance:

“To me, the Angel of Death is a character full of emotion, transformation, and depth. I love music and am discovering theater more and more as a form of artistic expression. That’s why I’m really looking forward to these very special evenings and to the guest performance in Vienna, my beloved hometown.”
