Young musical theatre and dance companies in the spotlight: for a whole week, the stages at NEST and DSCHUNGEL WIEN will be taken over by young musical theatre and dance companies from all over Austria.

From 22 to 26 June, NEST and DSCHUNGEL WIEN are hosting the first “WILD & SCHÖN FESTIVAL“. The festival showcases exceptional dance and music theatre productions by young people aged between 14 and 24 from across Austria. It is a space where young theatre practitioners can present their themes, working methods and artistic approaches, and engage in dialogue with one another. The focus is on the invited productions and the encounters between the artists.

BURNING. coming closer

What burns within us? And what happens when a world is thrown into turmoil, yet at the same time unleashes new forces?

The dance piece “BURNING. coming closer“ explores the concept of burning in its various forms – as anger, feeling overwhelmed, or a longing for change. It represents both a world that is burning in the background and what young people themselves are passionate about: a bright future. The body becomes the embodiment of these states – powerful, vulnerable and in motion.
