The Season Opens! Kids put on a play

For a year, children from elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools have been thinking about what their theater should look like. They want laser beams, portals, and more sign language. Familiar professions and new jobs. They want stories about princesses, rappers, rabbits, girls, and boys from Vienna, Ukraine, Serbia, or Syria. Their theater was born from these ideas: a theater by children, for children. Now we’re inviting children to take over this theater. They can build light shows, design posters or costumes, operate special effects, or perform on stage. From everyone’s ideas, a performance takes shape that premieres just one hour later. Adults are welcome to assist, watch, and learn.
