Theatre takeover

“Children’s Theatre” is a theatre run by children.

3.30 pm: The children in the theatre workshop have been thinking about what their theatre should be like: a theatre by children, for children.

There are various departments offering different roles. You can get involved as an actor, acting coach, audience engagement coach, lighting technician, sound technician, public relations officer or community liaison:

Here, you can work as a technician to set up the light show, as a graphic designer to create the poster and flyers, as a set and costume designer to decide on the stage and costumes, or as an actor to perform on stage. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our reception committee, who will introduce you to the various departments. After that, you decide for yourself which role you’d like to take on. The ideas and work from all the departments come together to create a performance that premieres just half an hour later.

4.00 pm: Parents, accompanying adults and members of the public are welcome to visit the theatre. They must follow the children’s rules whilst there.
