Bridge

A performance and installation in the form of a documentary film and a work involving metadata. The artist aims to focus on the socio-cultural and historical context of Europe. Arlov seeks answers to the questions “What might the art of the future look like?” and “What role does art play in social life?”.

He also wishes to explore the similarities between Ukraine and Austria, highlighting commonalities in terms of architecture and socio-political systems. Eugen Arlov aims to shed new light on the experiences of war in Ukraine and to highlight cause-and-effect relationships. As a result of this investigation, he will work with an architectural object (this could be a specific area around a room or its centre), conceptualise it and transform it into a functionally different space. A space for cultural exchange.

The performative act relates to the communication of information and its processing through physicality. An important element, however, is coming to terms with the past and the search for new vectors of interaction.
