Short Guided Tour: Lebt und arbeitet in Wien
At the Kunsthalle Wien, the exhibition “Lebt und arbeitet in Wien” showcases the diversity and vibrancy of Vienna’s current art scene. More than 130 works by 56 artists are on display at both locations—in the Museumsquartier and on Karlsplatz.
During the short guided tour of the exhibition as part of the Long Night of Museums, visitors will gain a concise insight into Vienna’s vibrant and diverse contemporary art scene. The tours offer an opportunity to explore individual works in the exhibition in greater depth and to gain a fresh perspective on the art being created in Vienna today.
The exhibition brings together a variety of artistic approaches and media—ranging from painting, sculpture, and installation to drawing and photography, as well as performance, sound, film, and video.
What does it mean today to live and work as an artist in Vienna? What themes are artists exploring, and what diverse perspectives shape contemporary art in the city? The exhibition invites visitors to discover the diverse ideas, working methods, and forms of expression within an international art scene united by Vienna as their shared home.
