With her debut EP “Lioness”, Taineh made a strong statement in 2024 as an
Austrian R&B singer. Writing about the title track “Lioness”, music
Austria said: “…a successful track with a powerful bass line that sticks in your head and
is reminiscent of Qveen Herby, Rihanna and Beyoncé”.
Stylistically consistent productions with her own distinctive touch are paired with a multifaceted vocal performance. The songs revolve around femininity and strength, bringing self-confidence and vulnerability together. Her second EP, “marigold”, takes a step towards indie soul and alternative R&B. Tracks such as “i feel much better” thrive on organic live instrumentation and showcase Taineh’s songwriting in a somewhat rawer sound. “show me the light”, a solid soul track, also demonstrates the artist’s versatility within her own niche. All four tracks on the EP were played on Radio Superfly’s rotation. As a result, the artist found her community amongst the country’s soul music lovers. Taineh performs her music live with a four-piece band – David Sladek on guitar, Gloria Handler on drums, Thomas Quendler on keys and Kajetan Kamenjasevic on bass.
