Program

b>18:00: Welcome and opening of the Sandbichler Bar
Austrian sculptor Peter Sandbichler has designed a new version of his legendary bar especially for this evening; he originally created it for the MQ’s opening ceremony in 1999.

18:15: Dimitré Dinev & band
Dimitré Dinev made his literary breakthrough at the end of 2003 with his brilliant debut novel *Engelszungen*. On 8 July 2004, he gave the very first reading at the then newly founded O-Töne literature festival in the MuseumsQuartier, accompanied musically by the Wladigeroff Brothers. His second novel, “Zeit der Mutigen”, was published in September 2025.
On 2 July 2026, 22 years after his first O-Töne reading, he will be performing at the Hof Kunst Fest alongside Alexander & Konstantin Wladigeroff and drummer Maria Petrova to mark the MQ’s 25th anniversary.

18:45: Rêverie Saxophone Quartet
The Rêverie Saxophone Quartet was founded in 2022 and is one of the most promising chamber music ensembles on the younger Austrian music scene. The quartet brings together four exceptional instrumentalists: Danijel Živojinović (soprano saxophone), Alen Pavlič (alto saxophone), Silvia Macejová (tenor saxophone) and Clemens Girstmair (baritone saxophone). The Rêverie Saxophone Quartet is known for music that combines technical precision with emotional depth in equal measure, and is passionately committed to expanding and enriching the saxophone quartet repertoire.

mdw Drumline
The mdw Drumline, led by David Panzl, was founded in 2014 and has already performed its programme at national and international events such as the Military Music Festival in Klagenfurt and the ‘International Rudiments Symposium’ in Athens.

19:15: Matt McCreary & Charles Auguste
The Movement Artists with a background in parkour, Matt McCreary and Charles Auguste, turn public space into their stage. Their original site-specific performances are created in close dialogue with urban architecture. They view urban space as both a partner and a material: through their interaction with surfaces, obstacles and the flow of public life, they reveal the latent choreographies hidden within our built environment. Their fluid and spontaneous movement language unfolds in direct dialogue with the specific location, blurring the boundary between performance and everyday life.
For their first performance in Vienna, they are developing a new work at the MuseumsQuartier Wien as part of the Hof Kunst Fest.

20:00: Tutti Dilemma
Tutti Dilemma are circus and performance artist and musician GAFFA GALAKTIKA (Julia Makoschitz) and her multi-instrumentalist colleague FLITZMASTERZERO (Moritz Frank). Their shows are characterised by infectious energy and a rich vocal range, combined with thoughtful social commentary and breathtaking dance, theatre and acrobatic performances.
As part of the Hof Kunst Fest, they will be unleashing their energy in the water basin.

20:30: UCHE YARA
As a singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, UCHE YARA fuses alternative pop, R&B and club sounds into a raw, cross-genre universe that is both intimate and rousing in its power. She switches effortlessly between instruments and styles; her unmistakable voice, her powerful energy and her magnetic stage presence captivate the audience – turning every performance into a shared experience.

21:30: Doris Uhlich
At the invitation of the MQ Vienna, Doris Uhlich has devised a solo performance in and for the MQ courtyard, which culminates in one of her eclectic DJ sets. The artist, who has been associated with the Museumsquartier and its institutions since 2001, weaves together traces of the past, present and future in the former court stables. A non-stop gallop.
