Terminal Piece
“Terminal Piece“ is an inaugural exhibition and a vision for the future. At its core isa single point of departure: Kate Millett’s eponymous “Terminal Piece“ (1972), the first acquisition made under the directorship of Fatima Hellberg.
The work foregrounds the act of viewing itself, asking not only what is seen, but also from where, and on which side one stands. Throughout the exhibition, with works from the collection alongside new productions and loans, this question unfolds as an exploration of embodied attention—suggesting that encountering an artwork is not a passive experience but an active form of participation.
