In “Gute Besserung“ (Get Well Soon), Monika Ernst demonstrates in a funny yet critical way that equality can be learned. With wit, irony, and a healthy dose of stubbornness, she encourages reflection on societal change and openness toward equality.

Monika Ernst is a freelance illustrator and multidisciplinary designer. She organizes the 24h Comics Day in Vienna and became a board member of the Austrian Comics Society in 2024. After graduating from the University of Applied Arts Vienna, she moved to the Weinviertel region, where she is working on converting a basement house into a studio with a gallery. Together with Lenz Mosbacher, she founded Illuform.at—a studio for storytelling and knowledge transfer.
