On this tour, we’ll explore the mumok’s collection of classical modern art through the eyes of five contemporary artists.
Nikita Kadan, Barbara Kapusta, Frida Orupabo, Lisl Ponger, and Anita Witek place their works in dialogue with pieces from the collection of classical modernism. Contemporary aspects of colonial, postcolonial, and patriarchal contexts within the collection, as well as aesthetic and media developments, are explored through an intersectional lens.
