Where is the forest?

Performance in spoken and sign language | Ages 7 and up

The picture shows a group of four women standing on a stage, each wearing green outfits. They are striking different poses: one woman is sitting on a pile of wooden blocks, whilst the others are standing around her. The women are in the middle of a performance and are interacting with one another using sign language. Several wooden blocks are scattered across the stage, some of which are close to the women, whilst others are further away. The scene captures the dynamic energy of the performance.

How long have you been in this forest?
The spruce asks the rock.
Time is a matter of perspective,
The rock says to the mayfly.

Everything is growing; a forest is taking shape. It's only a matter of time.

Alternating between sign language, spoken language, and body language, makemake produktionen explores the forest as a habitat – an ecosystem that is often viewed solely from an economic perspective and almost always from a human one.
