In “Malaika“, the ATASH عطش Contemporary Dance Company explores a mysterious friendship between the wind and a young girl. Accompanied by compositions by clarinetist Mona Matbou Riahi, the dancers embark on an adventurous journey into a poetic world of dance, music, and alluring beauty.
Malaika, a breeze from far away, visits Leyla after many years and brings her old diary with her. Leyla opens it and is transported back to her childhood. For one day, Malaika blew into her room, bringing not only a thousand scents and colors, but also exciting stories and myths.
