OUR CITY – OUR HISTORY

You walk through Vienna every day – past old buildings, doors, windows, flats, shops, streets and squares. But have you ever wondered what happened here before your time, in the past? Who lived, fought and loved there? What battles were fought, what fears and joys shared? And what kind of Vienna do we encounter today on our daily journeys?

Children and young people aged between 10 and 14 offer their own personal perspective on the city: on the present and the past. They set out in search of clues, meet local people, talk to eyewitnesses, interview passers-by and weave their own stories together with memories from the past. The result is a vibrant tapestry of voices, images and encounters that brings our shared history to life and reveals just how diverse and surprising our city is.

A play by children and young people, for children and young people: full of curiosity and questions that concern us all. Experience Vienna through the eyes of the youngest residents, who are rediscovering their city and sharing it with us.
