From October 2 to 18, 2026, the re:pair FESTIVAL will return to the MuseumsQuartier. Visitors can look forward to a diverse program featuring more than 90 events and experts from Austria and abroad.

This year, the nonprofit festival is once again entirely dedicated to the themes of repairing, reusing, and upcycling. The festival offers an exciting mix of events: the participatory exhibition “RADICAL SOCKS,” a variety of creative workshops, repair clinics for musical instruments, bras, armchairs, and electrical appliances, community events, a clothing swap party, and 18 school workshops.

The festival will open on October 2 at 6:30 p.m. in Room D at the MuseumsQuartier with a concert and sing-along by the Kördölör Choir, during which the audience is invited to sing along. To celebrate its 5th anniversary, there will also be a raffle featuring five upcycled leather jackets—all one-of-a-kind pieces.

Since its first edition in 2022, the festival has grown steadily: Last year, more than 5,500 people attended, and there have been a total of about 16,000 visitors since the festival began.
