New Deposit Containers at the MQ: Dual Benefits and Easy to Use
Starting immediately, visitors to the MQ can return their returnable bottles or cans to the new returnable container racks, which are open to the public 24 hours a day.
Deposit rings have been installed on trash cans throughout the MuseumsQuartier, and a deposit collection bin has been set up to collect returnable containers. This means that even deposit collectors no longer have to rummage through trash cans looking for returnable bottles. As part of the “MQ goes Green” initiative, the MQ is thus taking another step toward sustainable practices—both environmentally and socially.
Under the slogan “MQ goes Green,” the transformation into an energy-efficient and environmentally conscious cultural complex has been underway for about three years. The goal is not only to share knowledge about sustainability and stimulate socially relevant discourse, but also to actively provide creative inspiration and serve as a role model. The new deposit systems enable the simple and clean disposal of bottles and cans.
