MQ Pride Night on the MQ Summer Stage

for the first time as a four-part summer series

This year, MQ Pride Night is being expanded beyond Pride Month in June and will run as a four-part series throughout the summer. Each evening will have its own theme, while performance, music, and community will remain at the heart of the event.

Fri, June 12, 7:00 p.m.: Opening Night

The MQ Pride Night series kicks off on Friday, June 12, with “Opening Night”—a powerful start featuring La Terre, Andrea Vezga Acevedo, Iris Omari Ansong, mirabella paidamwoyo* dziruni, and Yours Izundu, Drag House of Clits with CHILLIJUICE, Discount Liquor and Freddie Venus, Denice Bourbon, and DJ মm.

Fri, June 17, 8:00 p.m.: Choreographies of Resistance

Under the title “Choreographies of Resistance,” the event on June 17 will focus on dance through choreographic approaches and physical practices.

Fri, Aug 7, 7:00 p.m.: Acts of Presence, Performed

The third evening will take place on August 7. Under the title “Acts of Presence, Performed,” this edition focuses on queer performance art and presents a series of solo works that culminate in a group discussion.

Fri, Sept. 4, 7:00 p.m.: Queer Poetics

The MQ Pride Night series concludes on September 4 with “Queer Poetics.” An evening dedicated to queer poetry, spoken word, and literary practices.
