A quarter-century of the MuseumsQuartier calls for a celebration: At the Hof Kunst Fest, the MQ is throwing one last big party and bringing back highlights from 25 years of MQ history.

Together with visitors, artists, and the MQ institutions—the Leopold Museum, mumok, Tanzquartier Wien, Kunsthalle Wien, and O-TÖNEN—the MuseumsQuartier is celebrating a special anniversary evening. The lineup includes Doris Uhlich, UCHE YARA, Dimitré Dinev & Band, Matt McCreary & Charles Auguste, Tutti Dilemma, Christoph Meier, and Peter Sandbichler.

A special musical highlight of the evening is UCHE YARA: Don’t miss this singer and multi-instrumentalist! Performing live on the MQ Summer Stage, she’ll bring musical energy with alternative pop, R&B, and club sounds, captivating the audience with her unmistakable voice, powerful energy, and magnetic stage presence.

Especially for this evening, Peter Sandbichler is designing a new version of his legendary bar, which he created in 1999 for the MQ graduation ceremony.

Dimitré Dinev, an author closely tied to the history of the O-TÖNE literary festival, returns to the MQ: In 2004, he gave the first reading here at the then-newly founded festival. Twenty-two years later, the winner of the 2025 Austrian Book Prize will perform at the Hof Kunst Fest alongside Alexander and Konstantin Wladigeroff and drummer Maria Petrova.

Tutti Dilemma brings music, performance, social commentary, dance, theater, and acrobatics to the MQ water basin. For their first performance in Vienna, Matt McCreary and Charles Auguste are developing a new site-specific work at the MQ.

At the invitation of the MQ Vienna, Doris Uhlich is creating a solo performance for, in, and above the MQ’s main courtyard, which will conclude with one of her electric DJ sets. The artist, who has been associated with the MuseumsQuartier and its institutions since 2001, sets off in the former royal stables, leaving traces of the past, present, and future in her wake. Gallop nonstop!

Artist Christoph Meier rings his bell—which he created for the current exhibition “Lives and Works in Vienna” at the Kunsthalle—every hour at “25 past”; everyone is invited to ring along!

MQ Institutions Join in the Celebrations

For the Hof Kunst Fest, the MQ institutions are also opening their doors with special offerings: free admission to mumok on Level Zero, PORR Night with free admission at the Leopold Museum, “Pay what you can” with extended hours at the Kunsthalle Wien, and the MQ anniversary exhibition “Vision and Resistance – How the MuseumsQuartier Changed Vienna” at MQ Freiraum, with free admission.
