To mark the 25th anniversary of the MuseumsQuartier Wien, an Enzi—the MQ’s iconic piece of seating furniture—is traveling across Austria. In cooperation with Austrian Leading Sights, it is visiting numerous landmarks. Like a well-traveled suitcase, the Enzi is covered with colorful stickers that trace its route and evoke the travel culture of the 20th century.

April 24, 2026 – MuseumsQuartier Vienna

The journey begins where the Enzi calls home: at the MuseumsQuartier Vienna. Situated between the Leopold Museum and mumok, this iconic piece of furniture sets off on a journey across Austria—ready to discover new places and collect stories.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the MQ, Enzi is kicking off its tour of selected Austrian Leading Sights. To start things off, it will receive its first stickers from the MuseumsQuartier, the Leopold Museum, and the mumok.

What is otherwise an integral part of life at MQ is now becoming a traveler in its own right: a companion that connects places and brings people together. With its first stickers in tow, Enzi leaves its usual spot in the main courtyard and sets off for its next stop.

The journey has begun.

April 27, 2026 – Vienna Furniture Museum

The first stop is a true Viennese hidden gem. Tucked away on Mariahilfer Straße, the Enzi makes a stop in the green courtyard of one of the world’s largest museums of interior design. Where horses once stood, transporting the furniture of Sisi, Maria Theresa, and other members of the Habsburg family, Enzi is now making a two-week guest appearance. It is surrounded by 61,000 furnishings and pieces of furniture spanning four centuries—from the Baroque era to the 21st century.

There’s a lot going on here: The new special exhibition “Made in Austria” has opened, our own Eurovision Song Contest program is in its final stages of preparation, and there are exciting guided tours and upcycling design workshops.

Call for photos: Come on by, be a part of the Enzi Furniture Museum’s history, and take a selfie with the iconic chair.

May 12, 2026 – Schönbrunn Palace: Enzi Meets a World Heritage Site

The Enzi is now on display in the very place where renowned emperors and empresses such as Maria Theresa, Elisabeth, and Franz Joseph once lived. It is prominently displayed in the imperial courtyard of Vienna’s top attraction and one of Austria’s most important cultural treasures.

In 2026, Schönbrunn Palace, the Palace Gardens, and Schönbrunn Zoo will jointly celebrate 30 years as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Over the next two weeks, the Enzi will be seen by visitors from all over the world—by guests taking a tour of the palace, by laughing children on their way out of the maze or the Children’s Museum, as well as by people strolling through the Schönbrunn Palace Gardens.

Take a souvenir photo with the Enzi in Schönbrunn before it continues its journey through Austria.

May 26, 2026 – Heidi Horten Collection

For two weeks, the legendary Enzi will be on display at the Heidi Horten Collection. In the museum’s sculpture garden, the iconic MQ chair blends seamlessly into its new surroundings: nestled among works by Erwin Wurm, Miquel Barceló, and Claude Lalanne, and set against the colorful courtyard pavement surrounding the museum—which cools the asphalt as part of a climate art project.

The Enzi is also in excellent company here: the Heidi Horten Collection brings together masterpieces of modern and contemporary art—where Klimt, Picasso, and Warhol are neighbors. At the next Art Afterwork, the Enzi is sure to quickly become a popular gathering spot and photo opportunity.

June 9, 2026 – Klosterneuburg Abbey

Having arrived at the gates of Vienna, the Enzi now stands proudly in front of the impressive Klosterneuburg Abbey. Where emperors and kings once stayed, famous artists created their works, and the Augustinian canons continue to serve to this day, the Enzi will now also become part of the abbey’s thousand stories for two weeks.

Between the Verdun Altar, the Treasury, this year’s exhibition “Cards on the Table!,” the medieval monastery, and the wine cellar, the Enzi invites you to take a break in front of the Baroque Garden Hall, which offers a special view of Vienna.

Anyone who comes across the Enzi on their journey is warmly invited to look for the Enzi sticker and listen to a story or two.

June 19, 2026 – Melk Abbey

Enzi has reached its next stop and is making a stop at the Prälatenhof at Melk Abbey. Surrounded by the magnificent Baroque façade and with a view of the abbey church’s impressive dome, Enzi blends seamlessly into one of Europe’s most beautiful monastic complexes.

For over 900 years, the Benedictine Abbey of Melk has been a place of faith, education, and culture. Today, people from all over the world come here to explore the abbey’s magnificent Baroque halls, its famous library, and its unique atmosphere.

Enzi also collects another sticker for his travel journal in Melk and becomes part of a place where history comes alive. Set against a backdrop of Baroque architecture and a vibrant present, his journey through Austria sends yet another message of connection, openness, and cultural exchange.

Anyone who spots the Enzi at the Prälatenhof is welcome to take a souvenir photo to capture this special moment of their trip.
